Special Grade Reef Sand Grain Size 1.0 - 2.0 mm. A revolution in reef-keeping! This is the one you've been reading about in all the hobbyist publications. This coarse sand is 100% aragonite and has excellent diffusive properties. This is the perfect size grain size to use for the plenum-type nitrate reducing beds.A very versatile product, use in a deep or shallow beds. Fiji Pink Grain Size 0.5 - 1.5mm This soft pink colored, 100% aragonite substrate is a good intermediate sand size product. The precise 0.5 - 1.5mm grain size combines some of the animal friendly properties of fine sand such as ingestability and low resistance to burrowing, but with better diffusive flux properties and good porosity. This is also the standard choice for reef aquariums at 1 pound per gallon.
Florida Crushed Coral Grain Size 2.0 - 5.5 mm. Use in an undergravel filtered system or as an ad-mixture to finer textured sands, shells and shell fragments produce varied natural colors and void spaces for small macro fauna such as copepods.
West Caribbean Reef Grain Size 1.0 - 2.0 mm + shells. Natural grain sizes incorporates fine sand to rubble size fractions. Interesting texture and colorful natural highlights. Great for jawfish when used in a deep bed.
